Charcoal is half burnt wood that is used for fire purposes. It is clean while burning and hot in comparison to wood and the end product consists of volatile chemicals and ash. Charcoal burns for a longer period with greater intensity and is used for various home and industry applications along with oxygen extraction from metals in the blast furnace. These have low moisture content along with ash and do not spark on burning.
